OUR HERITAGE
In 1926 Ernst Grob, Ted Jr.'s uncle, began an engine building shop in Munich Germany. Today that company produces high speed horizontal machining centers, assembly, testing, and dedicated production equipment for automotive and high volume applications.
In 1952 Ernst returned to his native Switzerland and founded what is now Ernst Grob AG. They manufacture spline and gear rolling machines.
In 1929 in Milwaukee, WI, Ted's father, Ted Grob Sr., and his brother Ben formed Grob Bros., (now Grob Inc., in Grafton, WI). We have a 1938 Grob band saw and a 1938 Grob filing machine in our lobby (pictured above). Grob has sold over 25,000 band saws! Grob Inc. builds the Grob band saw, spline and gear rolling machines, and they do production gear rolling.
In 1953 Ted Sr. started what is now Ted Grob Corp, in Grafton, WI. They manufacture a complete range of thread rolling dies.
Machine tools are in the Grob blood. Ted's brother Ron has a precision turning, grinding and thread rolling job shop in Loveland, Colorado.
Ted Jr. started Ted Grob Sales Inc. in 1970. We offer new and used machinery.
Ted Grob Sales Inc. joined MDNA (Machinery Dealers National Association)
in 1974.
We are committed to service and look forward to your continued business.
